The Haitian Roundtable regularly recognizes the success of Haitian-Americans through its 1804 List, named for the year of Haitian independence. In 2015, 300 attended the induction ceremony for the newest members of the 1804 List, recognizing 25 Haitian-American Changemakers and five Ones to Watch who have demonstrated outstanding achievement and success in their profession and proven themselves to be forces for change in their communities. The event was held at Florence Gould Hall in New York City. Honorees included a federal judge in California, the first elected attorney-general of Washington, DC, the head of global diversity for Moody's, the chief financial officer for Turner Broadcasting and the president of the New York chapter of the Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad. Stay tuned for the announcement of nominations for 2016.
